Astro Boy, Speed Racer, Pokemon, and Dragonball! These are just a few of the well known cartoons that have come to America from Japan - the home of Anime and Manga. Join the Extreme Manga Class and learn how to create your own Japanese style cartoon and comic characters. Or learn to draw the characters that you already know and love. You will learn the ins and outs of the style, anatomy and proportion, costuming, dynamic posing and facial expressions, and much much more! Your instructors are George Sellas, Richard Doak and myself Guy Gilchrist. Below are samples of George's work.
| Starting the first week of April, the Extreme Manga course will be taught twice a week. The classes are held on Wednesday afterschool from 4:00 to 5:30 and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30. Class size is limited so call us at 651-4400 as soon as you can so you are able to reserve a place in the class. |
